Life Together
Community means a lot to us here at Missio.
We often talk about the importance of mission through mutuality. In other words, we need each other to understand Christ more profoundly and to partner with Him as He transforms us and the world.
And everything we do flows from our main values as a church.
-
The women of Missio do a weekly Scripture study together each fall and spring.
-
A year-long study, meeting twice a month, walking through one of the Bible Project’s courses.
-
The men of Missio do a weekday morning study, walking through different books of the Bible.
-
There are always opportunities to help make our weekly service happen, and these can be great ways to develop closer friendships with others as you serve together.
(Embodiment) Transformation
-
Several groups meet weekly and locally at different days and times to build community and encourage one another to live missionally.
More details coming soon!

(Centering Gospel) Mutuality
-
Missio’s local partner, this is a fantastic food pantry serving the Durham area. We donate canned beans to them on the last Sunday of every month, and we volunteer at special events.
-
We partner with two house churches in Zimbabwe planted by Pastor Washington and his wife Roina. Providing mutual prayer and encouragement, Missio also supports the churches financially for their weekly worship rental, and most recently for their new grocery store. From the store’s income, Trinity Churches hope to provide tangible hope by multiplying entrepreneurial efforts in the area.
